Surround yourself with the comfort of Adirondack furniture -- carefully crafted just for your enjoyment and relaxation.
From our shop in Malone, NY, we hand-craft a complete line of high quality Adirondack chairs, lounges, tables, loveseats, benches, swings, and rockers.
Unlike almost all of the Adirondack furniture you'll find, ours really is made in the Adirondack/North Country region of New York State, and it's made from white pine that's harvested from sustainable and managed forests located in the historic Adirondack Park.
Yes, you can find Adirondack furniture just about everywhere. So why do we think that ours is the most comfortable and highest quality, and that we provide the best service and warranty you’ll find anywhere?
- hand-crafted, so you get a one of a kind piece of Adirondack furniture.

- designed for comfort with contoured backs and seats; closely spaced, narrow slats; and traditional wide Adirondack arms, so you can enjoy hours of Adirondack relaxation.
- solid white pine construction, so you get a lightweight, durable, and inexpensive product.
- zinc-plated hardware, so you never have to worry about rust.
- hand-sanded parts and rounded edges on our seat and back slats and arms, so you don’t have sharp edges or corners cutting into your Adirondack comfort.
- unfinished, so you get to choose the final appearance of your furniture. To protect it and extend its life, you must apply a finish as soon as possible. See Care and Warranty for more information.
- partially assembled (except where noted), so it’s easy for you to do the final assembly. We've already attached the slats to the seat backs and bottoms on most of our products. All you need to do is connect the back, bottom, arms, and legs. The bolt and screw holes are predrilled; instructions and hardware are included. All you need is a ½” wrench, a Phillips screwdriver, and a cool drink.
- lifetime warranty, so you never, ever have to worry about any part failing.
- customer support from a staff person in our shop, so you never have to worry about getting your problems or questions taken care of promptly, courteously, and knowledgeably.
NOTE: Dr LaRue Johnson suggests that alpaca & llama breeders get a chair and some rope in preparation for cria deliveries. His guidance is that the best thing one can do to help with the birth is to sit in a comfortable chair at a distance and tie oneself to it! The chair might as well be a high quality, comfortable chair made in the Adirondacks from white pine produced at Ward Lumber!
WHO ARE WE MADE BY?
Adirondack Wood Furnishings is located in Malone, NY, a small town in the northern foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. We began in the mid ‘80’s as a crafts project and fund-raiser for students who have disabilities. The quality of their furniture created a demand for it that overwhelmed their ability to supply it. In the mid-‘90’s, Citizen Advocates, a multifaceted rehabilitation agency in Franklin County, NY, bought the business.
Since then we have grown to occupy a 7000 square foot production facility and ship our furniture throughout the world. We also provide our products to several quality retail stores and web-based businesses.
Throughout this growth, one theme remains constant: although our Adirondack furniture will always be made by people who have vocational disabilities, we want you to buy it because you won't find a higher quality or more comfortable product, with a better price, that's backed by a better warranty or better customer service.
When you need a special gift, or an addition to your home furnishings, give us a try. Kick back and do some Adirondack-style relaxing in the most comfortable Adirondack furniture ever designed.
FINISHING AND CARE
Although each piece of our white pine furniture is hand sanded, it is unfinished. You must apply the finish of your choice as soon as possible. There is a virtually unlimited variety of methods and colors you can choose, so we recommend that you talk to the specialists at your local paint or hardware store for their suggestions on the best finish for your area and the reapplication requirements for the finish you choose. As a very broad rule-of-thumb, finish your furniture the same way you would finish the exterior of your house or an outside deck.
To keep your Adirondack furniture clean, you can either use a good wood cleaner, mild soap with warm water, or ask your local paint or hardware specialist to recommend a cleaner that is best suited to the finish you have chosen for your furniture.
If you live in colder climates you should store your furniture under cover during the winter months. An unheated garage or basement or an open, but covered porch is just fine. If you use a tarp or similar covering, be sure the furniture is completely dry before storing. In all storage situations, try to set the legs on something that keeps them off the ground or floor.
