Our Design looks simple , but don't let its clean looks fool you! Like our previous unique products, Fleece-O-Matic has been engineered for safety and efficiency. Yes, we did the right thing and enclosed all of the dangerous belts and pulleys. We also removed heavy steel fabrication that is unnecessary to tumble light weight fleece! , ......literally, a box and a basket. But read on and see what Benefits you will find absolutely awesome from our new tumbler design. -Significantly Lower shipping costs - Unlike other tumblers, Our tumbler has no heavy frame to ship, and the tumbler detaches into 2 components requiring 2 shipping boxes that UPS will deliver to your door. Savings can be $300-$400 over other brands. -Eliminate fleece contamination by specifying designated "color baskets" . Example; Use 1 basket for white fleece ONLY, use a different basket for black ONLY, etc.... This is the ONLY tumbler on the market that was designed to accommodate this important facet of the fleece processors' world. |

| Product Tip: There may be some moisture in the fiber so make sure the fiber is as dry as possible. Damp fiber may felt in the tumbler and create a large fiber logs if too wet and tumbled. The solution: use a barn fan that sits on the ground, set it in front of the tumbler pointed up to blow through the fiber and turn it on to a medium to a low setting. This will cause the fiber to dry more quickly and prevent felting. The air flow will also help separate the fiber & we have found that with a little bit of air circulation the fiber will separate and the vegetation will also fall out even easier. |

Thanks again for your time. There seems to be a need in this area for skirting and this seems to be a good investment. any pro's and cons about the tumbler and it's use would be greatly appreciated. lorie long, wild rose ranch, NJ A: This tumbler gets out a high percentage (over 90) of dirt. It also gets out a lot of grass chips (1/4 inch and shorter. Q: How much pre/post skirting are you doing to make fiber ready to be milled? A: We are doing no pre-skirting, however we do need to do some post skirting, especially on first year fleeces. Q: How much fiber are you tumbling to get th e best results? A: We are getting the best results with 2 fleeces at a time for 30 minutes. Q: Are you tumbling 2nd's, and if so, do the unwanted short pieces come through the tumbler's mesh? (I know that it doesn't get rid of guard hair.) A: We do tumble the seconds and nearly all of the shorts come out. Final Note: Before we got the tumbler it was taking my wife and two daughter-in laws 1 1/2 hours to skirt one fleece and they were unable to get out more than 40% of the dirt. Once we got the tumbler they were able to do 4 fleeces per hour with the stated results. The only thing that will slow you down will be the first year fleeces, but if you were to do them by hand to get the same results as the tumbler it could take several hours. I hope this info has been helpful. Blessings, Eddie |
